Healing time for the wound usually takes about 1 week. Some initial swelling and yellow crust formation around the incision sometimes occur and are normal.
If the wound bleeds during the first 24 hours after the procedure, apply pressure with a clean cloth for 10 minutes and contact the surgery on the number shown in “Contact Us”.
After the cotton wool is removed, the incision may be gently washed with mild, unscented soap.
Use pain relief medication such as paracetamol for infants, as needed.
